Monarch Hails Wike’s Giant Strides


Apparently satisfied with the developmental initiatives of Governor Nyesom Wike in several areas, a traditional ruler in the state, Eze Peter Ubadineke Umerita says Wike’s monumental achievements in education, sports, health, infrastructure, roads as well as rural intervention programmes mark him out as second to none.
The royal father who is also the Eze Ala Umuokobo and paramount ruler of Obete, Ndoki in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state said Oyigbo people are happy with him because of his commitment to give them a new lease of life by constructing and reconstructing important roads linking them with other communities, pointing out that before now, successive administrations had not deemed it necessary to develop the area.
The monarch who is also the chairman of Umuokobo council of traditional rulers and chiefs noted that as a traditional ruler “I am not suppose to belong to group political party but I have a right to express my good feelings for anyone who is doing well with the governance of state and must receive my support to enable him do more for my people”.
While congratulating him on his enjoined him to use this period to consolidate on his achievements as well as strengthen the unity of state by constantly engaging stakeholders in the affairs of the state.
On the neighbourhood watch security outfit set up to fight cultism, kidnapping and other anti-social activities ravaging the state, Eze Umenta said the agency is another area that has solved unemployment problem, hence thousand of Rivers youths have been employed and lauded him for the vision.
The paramount ruler however, reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure the maintenance of peace in the area, pointed that as a reigning king in Ndoki, he will continue to give his fatherly advice to every resident of Oyigbo to ensure peaceful co-existence of all.
